Billie Otto 
  
President


Billie Otto has over 25 years of experience in strategy, M&A, enterprise risk, and technology. She advises CEO's and boards of directors on a wide variety of growth and maturity oriented business challenges.

Billie also serves as an Independent Corporate Board Director, an advisory board member for higher education and has many years of serving Tacoma/Pierce County non-profit organizations. Billie began her career in public accounting specializing in tax and serving private companies, the community banking industry and high net worth individuals.






Lisa Bryant 

Vice President & Secretary

Lisa has over 25 years of experience at The Boeing Company where she has performed a variety of diverse roles including Finance, Sales and Marketing, Program Management and Import/Export Trade controls.

She has a baccalaureate degree in Accounting and Business from the University of Puget Sound and a Master in Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University.






Steve Grimstad

Treasurer
 
Steve is the Chief Financial Officer for WorkForce Central, a workforce development organization in Pierce County. Steve is an experienced CPA with over twenty-five years of non-profit accounting and financial reporting experience.

Steve was born and raised in the Seattle area and attended the University of Washington receiving a B.A. in Business Administration. He and his wife Heidi, along with their two sons, make their home in Federal Way. Steve enjoys spending time with his family, reading, golf, most sports,  and being involved in the community.

 






Erika Tucci 

Board Member
               

Erika Tucci is the Community Affairs Manager for Tacoma Public Utilities and a graduate of the University of Puget University of Puget Sound.

Erika has a strong passion for the Tacoma community - a place she's called home since 1997. In 2016, Erika was appointed to Governor Inslee's Serve Washington Commission, where she helps advocate for the advancement of corporate social responsibility   
programs state-wide.





Ann Smothermon 

Board Member

Ann was a banker for 30 years and has been a board member for over 20 years. She has three children. Since retiring she keeps busy volunteering, traveling and exercising. She is an avid sports fan! 





Thomas Betterbed
 
Board Member

Thomas is the Supervisor of Special Education, Clover Park School District.








Michael E. Newhouse

Board Member
  

Michael readily acknowledges his good fortune in his decades long marriage to his lovely wife, Karen. Together they have raised their 2 sons and 2 daughters. Michael has been a firefighter-paramedic with the City of Tacoma Fire Department since 1986.

He is currently the Medical Services Officer and manages EMS emergency operations for the Tacoma Fire Department. Michael received his BS in Fire Administration, with a minor in Communication, from Eastern Oregon University. The desire to serve in a different capacity, and the valuable role Comprehensive Life Resources plays in our community, led Michael to join the Board of Directors.





Marisa Peloquin

 

Board Member

Marisa has over 29 years of leadership experience in the U.S. Army, where she served a variety of roles, including battalion and brigade command. She is currently a Division Chief of Staff in the U.S. Army Reserve. Marisa holds a Master of Business Administration from Saint Martin's University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Seattle University. Following ten years of active duty assignments, Marisa worked as a senior marketing manager for VeriSign at Olympia, WA.

Marisa has been active in her community, volunteering as a PTA president and serving on the Washington State PTA board of directors. She also serves on the board of the Friends of Fort Lewis Military Museum. Marisa has been married to her husband, Michel Peloquin, for over 20 years. Together, they have two children, Gregory and Spencer.






Shelley Koeppen

Board Member

Shelley currently works as a Management Analyst with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services. Prior to that, she spent nearly 12 years with the City of Tacoma in Human Services Planning and Contracting. Shelley started her career in the nonprofit sector providing direct client care and then moved into local government and public service after earning her Master's of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Washington. She cares deeply about issues like homelessness and has focused much of her adult life on efforts to meet people's basic needs.

 Shelley enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, both at home and wherever their adventures take them. She loves hiking, reading, and traveling, and can often be found taking a walk around her neighborhood in an effort to be outdoors and keep physically active.
